A Long Weekend

After a long weekend of relaxing with the boys I have to admit.... being sober around them is hard to do! It's not peer pressure or anything like that ita just habitual. 
   I've grown so used to associating everything with having a beer. Golf, video games, grilling out, the pool side. Literally everything! 
   Yet I stayed strong and powered through, me a year ago would be proud. Here's to a long sober summer.

Staying Sober.. Another day in the life

    Welcome to day 2 of a day in the life, as I'm sure you can all tell from my first post I have struggled here in this "blooming season." However, I don't let those types of days get the best of me! I had a relapse not too long ago after a few months of not drinking a drop. That all started when I turned 21 years old, had a child on the way and a job that I absolutely despised at the time.    Looking back now... I wish I'd never picked up the bottle, because it's an everyday struggle that I now have to overcome. Don't get me wrong this isn't a sad, sob story about my life!
